A gift from a Mother

She taught, she gave and she shared

She taught me
to love and forgive,
and told me be independent.

She gave me
her expensive taste
and sassiness,
and said always go for the best.

She shared her
experiences and lessons
she learned along the way,
and asked me to learn from my own.

She taught me
to stand on my own feet,
never to depend on anyone.
She gave me strength
to go against the world,
to never give up.
She shared her wisdom,
her take on life
and said everything will be okay.

There is nothing more a girl expects from her mother – Love you mama.
